Results w/essentrics on 1 workout????

So I have a wonky hip. it sometimes catches when I bend over or put it up and bend over. Recently it has started to catch while just walking or leaning to my right. Makes me wince, kinda hurts. I had an xray and there is something there maybe a calcium deposit...supposed to get an mri but have been putting it off because of the cost.

I thought maybe today I would do some essentrics. The workouts that I did were these 2 workouts:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U85YqRN0iy0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSoYohQDzvA&t=1897s

The second has Audrey in it...don't know if she is an essentrics instructor but I liked her and loved all the farm animal noises while we were working out LOL.

Today I noticed that my hip wasn't catching as much while walking and was wondering if I would notice something so quick. Could be coincidence but not sure. What are your thought?

Thanks

Definitely you can notice improvements after single stretch/foam roll/Essentrics etc. This is more likely with soft tissue problems (trigger points, shortened/tight muscle length which can cause friction/irritate surrounding tissue or affect alignment of a joint).

Thank you for the link for Audrey’s workout. I will do it tonight.

I have great results with CS. I used it modified when I was recovering from a broken leg.

My day does not go right unless I do my CS in the morning.

the hip one you linked to is quite good but if you check out this link you'll see some other short workouts as well.

https://essentrics.com/videos/

they recently unlocked full length (30 minute) workouts on youtube if you want to try something longer: - both of the ones below are on the easier side so more stretch than strengthen.

I really enjoyed it. she has 3 others I think that I saved. I hope the place she works for will keep putting her on youtube. I don't see that she has a channel of her own. If you find one let me know.

I will admit I sit on my rear a lot after work. that probably doesn't help.

I have had problems with tightness in my hand. Think of carpal tunnel but not. Stiff hands in the morning and I have been wearing a brace at night. Some days were better than ever but not real regular relief.

I do Essentrics on PBS. It's easier to do what is on the TV and then I get up and get it done. No sleeping late when the TV episode starts. Up and at it!!!

Today's episode fixed my hand like 90%!!!! I do have a long term back problem and evidently something was twisted and was traveling and radiating which was causing my hand problem. So yes I have that episode marked and I do have the dvd to repeat it.

I had talked to my doc and I was ready to go back to her about it,but since the lock down I was tolerating it.

So YES some episodes hit that special spot and will give you relief.

I've been having hand trouble too. Can you share which episode helped? Thanks!

Yes, yes! Enquiring minds need to know!

Just another one chiming in that yes, even one session of the right body work can create a noticeable difference.

For me, her back pain dvd has helped me out of some real discomfort from time to time. Just doing the workout helps ease the pain and seems to help stop it from returning.
