I had my last baby at 41. No problems; uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery.

I had LB 20 days before my 41st Birthday... she is healthy, overly happy and completely perfect!!
One of my friends was born when her Mom was 45. She is the most bubbly person I have ever met, and just thinking about her makes me smile. Totally doable, possible, and I recommend it! I heard once you will never regret the kids you have, but you will regret the ones you never had

I think it's more common to have successful pregnancies into the forties if you have already had other children. I have known several women have babies at 42-43. Not much beyond that, but then, how many are trying beyond that or are at least not actively preventing?
There is a higher miscarriage rate at this age, and if it does happen, it usually takes longer to get pregnant. |

On a side note, I'm enjoying all these stories about later pregnancies. I don't have any kids or a husband/boyfriend at the moment and I'm in my early 30s. Here I was worrying about the fertility window closing around 38, and these stories are very encouraging to silence my bioclock from ticking so loudly. |

Sister in her 40s
My sister became pregnant in her forties but lost both to what was later diagnosed as a progesterone deficiency. They put her on mess to increase ovulation which resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. After that, she adopted. ( Her husband was not willing to do in vitro).
