I love Firm Express

I recently bought Firm Express for a good deal on Amazon. I love the workouts, I used to do the Firm workouts several years ago and then I gave up on them. I've a new love for the Firm workouts. They're fun to do and effective. I now have the Zip trainer on my wish list. Is anyone else doing the Firm workouts?

Yes, the Firm workouts are the only workouts I do.

Is the cardio in the firm express all high impact? Do you need a lot of equipment for them?

There is a modifier so you could do it all low impact. The only equipment you'll need is hand weights and maybe a mat for the floor.

Hi daisyfit,

Glad to hear you are enjoying Firm Express

I am also "Firm-ing" at the mo and cycling my way through the Pink Firms and Express. I'm tired of high-impact/high intensity right now, and Firm workouts give me the opportunity to work at my own level but still get a good workout in.

I'm enjoying the Zip Trainer workouts, but it's also nice to have so many workouts that only use dumbbells and nothing else.

Do the Firm Express DVDs allow you to go directly to the workout, or do you have to sit through introductory and promotional screens before you can hit play? I'm asking because I could see combining these workouts, but it's frustrating if it takes 1-2 minutes to get to the play menu option.

I've been doing FX workouts when I'm short on time the last couple weeks. I've mentioned this before, but it's my most-used set. LOVE the workouts. (Well, love-hate. But mostly love.)

Lurdes, you pop the disk in and go. The only thing on each disk is the one workout. I don't know if there's even any production company logos first. It's pretty instantaneous.

I am doing Firm Express workouts these days and am enjoying them as well. However, I'd add a couple of caveats:

There is a modifier in each workout. However, on the two disks I have done so far, they don't really modify. They modify for intensity, taking it down one notch - maybe. However, they do all the impact that the others do, so you can't rely on them for low impact options.

And, each 20 minute workout is on its own DVD, which means that if you want to combine them that you have to flip out one DVD, put in the other, sit through the disclaimer, hit Play, and it starts. So, there would be a short lag between them.
