Favorite stretches for sore ankles & feet?

Every morning I wake up to stiff and sore ankles. When I tumble out of bed, I have to hobble and limp my way around for a few minutes until they loosen up. I don't know if it's because they are still for so long (get stiff) or the position I sleep in or circulation related. I just know it's annoying and painful.

It also makes working out when I first wake up impossible.
So I'm wondering: what are your favorite ankle/feet stretches? Any yoga/stretch videos out there that have a short section for this area of the body? Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks!

ETA: didn't the V-Core lady do a video about high heels or something? With feet stretches and such?

Alison,
Jill Miller's Quick Fix for Ankles & Feet have great stretches. There is a 5 min. video and a 10 min. video with different exercises. You can get one free at ttp://www.yogatuneup.com/quickfix-yoga-videos or both are on Jill's Quick Fix Lower Body Series.

Also, this short video by Rainbeau Mars may be helpful:

I like Stacey Lei Krauss' Sole Training download a lot for this.

Read about it here: http://www.willpowermethod.com/sole-training

Buy/download here: http://www.willpowermethod.com/video...-download.html

Best ten bucks I ever spent I messed up my ankle really badly last year when I was moving and this helped me more than any traditional (RICE) method.

I stopped using it a while back and my feet and ankle are not happy bunnies... It truly is that good!

Thanks In Paris, the download looks really good!

I thought of some other ones: the Yamuna Foot Wakers with Foot Fitness DVD http://www.amazon.com/Yamuna-Body-Ro.../dp/B000PJTXT0 is terrific and she has a new Save Your Ankles DVD http://yamunabodyrolling.com/store/b.../?show_item=45 .

Thanks for all the ideas!
I will be looking into these. I sprained my ankles (both) pretty badly -- & multiple times -- playing softball & volleyball in HS. I'm wondering if that is coming back to haunt me in my old age.

What I like about Sole Training is that gives you instruction on pampering your feet which always feels great and can easily be done while watching TV, etc., and makes you feel divine. Yeah, I can do it on my own, but I usually forget

The real gem, though, is the five minute stretch and wake-up for your toes, feet, and ankle. There never seems enough time in the day, but everyone can sneak in those five minutes. And, let me tell you, it makes a world of difference if you're consistent.

(thank you for making me pull it out again)

I'm downloading it right now. DH has a lot of problems with his feet and I'm hoping this will be helpful.

If you're like me, it will.

But when I do Sole Training consistently -- no problems, no pain. So I start slacking off, doing it less and less until I stop... And slowly the pain and problems come back again.

Give him the massage at least once (Men looooove this but aren't as likely to do it them selves until they see how good it makes them feel. It's a great way to loosen everything up before you do the exercises in the beginning.)

And then maybe he'll reciprocate
