My butt and thut are gonna hurt tomorrow

Actually, they already do

I did the lower body portion of Kelly's new Split workout. I was one of those who thought Kelly tends to go light on legs, but no more. This was a very solid workout with a few twists. I matched her (I am back to heavier weights) and it was great. My two fave exercises were the leg press on the floor and lunging back and forth moving the weights side to side. And if you love band work like firewalkers, this is the workout for you.

My only quibble is that I don't think the band worked well for floorwork, at least for me. I had a hard time getting it situated - I was using a versaloop. I used ankle weights instead.

Surprisingly, I like lower body a smidge more than upper. Either way, I think this is one of Kelly's better workouts!

I did this one yesterday. Agree with you 100%. And yes, Rose, your butt & thut are gonna hurt tomorrow.

I didn't even do the floorwork bonus yesterday, but tried it last week in the "Lower Body Blitz" premix (or is it Blast? whatever). I also thought ankle weights might work better & will probably use them next time, but the band was OK for me.

I used both bands and ankleweights for this workout. The band is best for the firewalkers and ankleweights are best for the hydrants. I didn't use any equipment for the move where you go from superman to laying on your side.

I thought it cute when Kelly says she loves to see Sam struggle and they both got the giggles for a couple of minutes.

Juli, it's the place where the butt meets the thigh.
Sue, it's Kelly Coffey-Meyer's new Split Sessions.

I am LOVING Kelly's two new ones ... oh wait, there are five other threads about that.

Oh wow! I didn't know it had a name. I have tried to find exercises to focus on that area and didn't know what to put into my searches. Thanks for the education. lol

If one doesn't lift heavy or much weights for lower body (primarily focuses on barre) - would this be of any interest???? (she asks for a friend....)
