how do I find online research studies related to exercise?

Anyone? Are there any fitness writers here maybe, who can help me?

I'm trying to find research studies that clarify the 'muscle burns fat' issue. I'm turning up lots of links but very little in the way of actual studies (abstracts are fine). I just want the legitimate sources, not articles quoting studies, or articles written by companies selling bodybuilding supplements. I found a bit of stuff at www.obesityresearch.org, but not much. Where do you find studies by Wayne Wescott, Darden, and other well-known researchers in the field of exercise?

Thanks,

Shelley

Here you go:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi

This database will search the major medical journals for what you need.

I don't know that you'll find any that substantiate 'muscle burns fat'. Muscle is, however, more metabolically active tissue than fat are burns more 'calories' than fat. (that might make your searching easier)

(I'd help you out but I'm SWAMPED at work today...not swamped enough to keep from posting though )
