Last night: Basic stretches
This morning: Oxycise

No workout but a lot of steps and work getting ready for the home inspections tomorrow morning. I also walked outdoors this morning.

Best wishes for the inspections, Cheryl.

Check-in: the Beast stretch again last night. I remember reading in the GD a while ago about forward folds being good to do before bed. In this 5-min vid, there are some forward folds. I'm very pleased with how well I've been sleeping.

Today: my first Dailey Method barre workout. There are only 2 DVDs (both available on the Dailey Method website) but each one has 2 or 3 workouts. I was very happy with this. Form pointers that I'd never heard before, moves that were new to me. Not cardio but I had to take a sweat break. I'll certainly do these vids now; good workout and different enough to be interesting.
And a nice walk in the local park.

Last year, when I was trying to make up for my lack of summer vacation, I was scouting the internet for barre retreats, before I found my knitting retreat. The Dailey Method had one for a weekend and I considered it but didn't choose it. I had planned to go to the Dailey Method studio in Santa Barbara when I would be there for the contradance weekend this October (which has been cancelled); but maybe next year. After the pandemic is over, the nearest studio is in Morgan Hill, an hour drive from home. Would be fun to do once; I certainly wouldn't go regularly.

HI Everyone!

I wanted to give an update on Ms. Connie. Previously, the pancreatic cancer returned and was wrapped around a major artery and was limiting blood flow. She took chemo/radiation again. She just had a scan done. There is now blood flow so this is an improvement and she is doing well. Her big issue is nutrition. She has issues with a lot of foods because the pancreas helps with digestion and this has caused a problem for her.

Praying that everything goes well with the inspection.

Check-In: No workout to report. I did a lot of bookkeeping and that sort of thing today. I am really close to my step goal so maybe I will work on that before bed.

Lynn, still waiting for the verdict on your homemade ice cream.

DD had today off, so I didn't have to drive anywhere, and didn't feel like a neighborhood walk. Will walk tomorrow.

Did the Beast stretch again last night.
Today's weight work was a delightful surprise. What was on calendar was not L4, but a workout from a small set of the instructor's (Joel Freeman) "beachbody exclusives." Apparently more exclusive than L4. Although there was an option to use dumbbells, it's a barbell workout! I used my 12 lb body bar. Will definitely be doing this one again.

Hi Everyone!

Check-In: Body Lastics Circuit Training workout (I wanted to walk but we got a really bad storm with lightening. I am over my step goal, so that's good)

Tomorrow I will clean the house. That's a major workout, LOL.

Heat wave. Don't laugh, I'm suffering at 85*. No air conditioning, and the living room gets the blazing afternoon sun so it'll be hotter inside. The fun part was taking a morning walk with no jacket, and wearing shorts. Beyond unusual. So glad I cooked chicken 2 days ago when it was chilly. Curried chicken salad with grapes tonight.

Also, before it got too hot, did Cardio Barre Advanced, all the standing sections. I was pleased to find that my balance has improved a lot. I can do the one leg holds now.

Sorry to be MIA. Horrible events at work and still recovering.

Cynthia, the homemade ice cream is not bad, but I think a machine would be better.

barre 3 30 minutes. Taking a few days off to clear my head. Back mid week next week.
