CIA Cardio Combat Surge........

with Kimberly Spreen is quickly becoming my favorite workout This is the first CIA workout I have ever had (thanks to a very generous trade!!!) and I can definitely understand why so many rave about the CIA series, what an incredible value, truly worth the money!! the premixes, the great music and production,I see what the big deal is now
While I won't be buying any of the others in this series due to the complicated, complex choreography, I am thrilled I have Kim's!! and she is becoming my new favorite instructor. I am now on the hunt to get more of her workouts so I am getting my tradelist ready to repost
Anyone else like this one?? Are all of Kim's workouts fairly easy to follow or are there some I should stay away from?? (I REALLY hate complicated choreography!!). I did get Cardio-Camp in a trade but havn't done that one yet, have previewed it and it looks to be easy to learn (thank goodness). I just absolutely, passionately LOVE kickboxing now and have been doing TaeBo for the last couple of months but needed to mix it up a little so I wouldn't burn out. I am so thrilled I took the plunge and discovered Kim, she's awesome

Yes, I love most of Kim's workouts, including the newest CIA. I'd recommend any of her CIA's - I think they're all good. Her cuing is always spot on. Absolute Kickboxing is a really popular one (for good reason!).

ITA with Karen. Kim's very likeable and she gives good form pointers throughout the workout. In addition to AK, check out Kickbox Boot Camp. It's similar to AK and that one is better of the two imo but if you like Kim and fun body bar workouts, KBC will be another one you'll enjoy.

Uh-oh, I forgot this one was released. Absolute KB is one of my favorites, so I'll have to put this on my list! Thanks!

I agree with Karen and Bob...I love Kim's new CIA and Absolute Kickboxing. She cues well and I've never been 'lost' by her choreography.

I say yes. Although a body bar will help you feel it more, you can get away with a dowel or broomstick. You definitely want to have some type of stick in your hands as most of the moves use it in a combat type of way. If you happen to have a shorter barbell, say 4' long, that could work too, as long as it's not too heavy. Anything longer wouldn't be a good idea.

Snuckles,

You can use a broom handle. If you have weighted gloves, even better. If not, just us a broom handle.

I used a mop handle and it worked great.
