Stepping Up With Seasun Zieger

I've not heard much chat about her new CIA. Those of you who bought it, are you pleased?

From the clip it seems the music isn't that great.

I'm waiting for this one, I bought it in the CIA sale. Although I'll have to wait and see what I think once I get it, but the music in the clip is waht pushed me to order. there were some great songs!

I thought the music was good!

I really can't make judgement on the workout though. I think I've met my match in the choreo department. It will take me awhile to really learn it. I got through the first combo after several tries and my brain was fried trying to do the second combo. I did Straight Up Step this morning and absolutely love it - and was hoping Steppin' Up would be in the same league.

Ask me in another month or six weeks, and maybe I can give a better review.

Love everything about this one!

FWIW, I have all of Seasun's workouts and this is her best by far. I love the music and she just seems to be having a ton of fun so I did too! I was able to get the choreography of this one after a couple of run-throughs mostly due to her excellent cues. It's one of my favorites!

Very complex chroeo and I love it. I've done it 3 times and I think I need another time or two because I can say I "know" the choreo to the point where I can go straight through. I think it's more complex than Tapless Step More with Deirdre. Plus, it keeps my heart rate up nicely and there is not too much TIFT'ing - some but not too much. I give it 2 thumbs way up, but I like complex choreo with little breakdown.

I have both of these. I like both of these. I seem to be able to grasp Seasun's choreography with greater ease than Amy's---at least in ASC2. I had trouble getting the warm up in ASC2. That said, I had a bit more trouble with this Seasun DVD than I normally do--her cuing style reminded me more of Amy's. I still got a good workout first time around with no preview. I think the complexity is pretty comparable.

I thought the music was fine, but I admit than unless a song is really not my taste (I'm not fond of country music, and don't get me started on that crazy woman howling song on Cathe's Rhythmic Step) I'm not overly picky about the music. I even like "CIA techno."

I can't stand the music on Rhythmic Step, and I'm usually not picky about the music either.

The first time I did the Seasun workout, I got tripped up on Wonderland. I had to go back and watch it over and over til I got it, and then I was fine the second time I did the workout. For ASC 2, however, I had to watch a couple of the sections in slo mo to get it. With Seasun's workout I did have to hustle, though. It moves quickly and there is no real breakdown. But I can't imagine doing so well if I hadn't previewed first. Props to you for being able to do that!
