Thinner Leaner Stronger

I just became aware of Michael Matthews and his book "Thinner Leaner Stronger". He also has a podcast and sells supliments yadda yadda. However a few folks in a facebook group I am in were singing his praises.

Anyone here buy his book and do his program? I'm obviously procrastinating getting off the couch and looking into new programs is a good way to keep me stuck here! haha!

thanks
Liz

It's a good read. He sold me on post workout fueling. It has a few good meal ideas I use.

But I have to have a video. I can't seem to only ever do a book/paper workout. I can do it once in awhile..but not Every workout.

So sharing my thoughts to basically bump your thread

I love that book, and I have the Year One Challenge book, both the men and women's version of it.

I am going to really give it a go in 2020. I've gotten away from videos for a while, and want to focus on building as much muscle and strength as I can.

Often you can get the book in Kindle version on Amazon for 99 cents if you have a Kindle or the app.

Thanks for your thoughts on the program. A generous "VF-er" is sending me the book and I'm curious to give it a look through and maybe try it.

Let me know what you think of it

I thought the macros were to low for me, so I'm going by other figures, but I really love the workouts.

I actually went through his coaching program and got great results.

What appealed to me about the program is it's very no-nonsense. It's focused on heavy compound weight training (3-5 split), 2-3 LISS workouts per week and 2-3 HIIT workouts per week.

His articles and podcasts are really helpful too.

I really love his podcasts. One of the few I will listen to from time to time

I bought this when it was on sale for 99 cents. His advice is sound, but the book is awfully wordy, and aimed at beginners. I felt that the books Lift Like A Girl and Eat Lift Thrive had the same basic info but more compact and easier to read. (Plus I like supporting women fitness authors )

I can loan out the kindle edition 1 time - if anyone wants to borrow it, please pm me your email address.
