I just logged on for the first time in several days and saw this. I'm over 5'7", so I need a longer mat, but apparently I'm also seriously challenged with maintaining my position on the mat as even with the longer version I'll frequently find my face staring into the floor during flow practices. I'm not sure there IS a mat long enough to keep me from migrating all over the place, LOL!
Good luck with your purchase!

I have this square yoga mat from Amazon -- https://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Direct-6...gateway&sr=8-5
It's not as thick and durable as the Manduka version but I use it as a layer over puzzle mats for everything but yoga. Nice insulation and cushioning! Puzzle mats + this square yoga mat is too squishy for wrist-intensive yoga routines. For yoga, my preference is the 4mm mat from yogaprops.com on bare hardwood floor or tile -- http://www.yogaprops.com/mats.html -- more sticky than Manduka and the perfect amount of cushioning for knees without making things too wobbly on my wrists! |
