Wow, that is amazing!! I keep purging and getting rid of DVDs but to get down to 2? You are indeed a minimalist! Hats off to knowing what you want.

I agree!
Honestly, I think there is a natural lifecycle with workouts and tastes. I haven't reached the stage where I know there is a large enough portion of my workouts to fuel a wholesale purge.
I eliminate 'not for me' workouts as I go along but I am really glad I haven't been hasty. I am finding new appreciation for workouts I was lukewarm abt years ago. I am also open to trying more workouts now than I ever was before, lol.
I applaud anyone who is able to large scale purge.
I am still just too eclectic and unpredictable in what I want to do on any given month.

*sigh* I want this to be me. I'm to the point where my shelving order has broken down and I have piles of workouts on shelves, on their sides, on the mantle, on the side table. I'm due for a big purge too.

This is my collection, too. I desperately need to go through and organize to decide what stays and what goes.

Sugar Rose, I responded.

Awe, thanks Lucky Star! I just had to be realistic about certain workouts I couldn't do anymore because of a permanent foot issue and a chronic health condition. If not for that, I'm sure I'd still have most of my collection. I'm totally fine though, and thankful that I love what I CAN do (Pilates )

I have purged down to specifics instructors and brands. Now to convince myself that I don't need every workout they've produced. Some have never had the wrapper taken off. It definitely is a process. This post encourages me to try a little harder.

Just this weekend I started to build an excel sheet to help organize all of my fitness dvds. So far I have about 1100, and I'm only about 2/3 done!
(This does not include my digital downloads)

I feel I need to purge some of these to get to a manageable collection, but I have re-acquired a large number of the titles I had gotten rid of. Now that dvds have virtually no trade-in value, I am going to try to focus on NOT purchasing ANYTHING new rather than getting rid of what I already have. (...though I may get rid of a few!)
