I finally caved and bought a manduka pro lite midnight color mat. My Academy had them but they weren't on sale when I shopped so I came home and checked Amazon and voila.........the regular price was twenty dollars less. Its great for yoga. I thought it wouldn't be thick enough to protect my knees but it does. I'll need extra cushioning for pilates though.

I stopped at Marshall's today hoping to find a Pro Lite. All they had were the usual cheap yoga mats and no Manduka in site! Happy for those who were able to score a mat!

Becky glad to hear it. That means I'm keeping my pink mat for pilates and don't have to feel bad about having three mats

Well, I'm warming up to the Pro. Tried it twice more and it doesn't feel quite as bad. It does stay in place. The ProLite bunches, but is much squishier and stickier than the Pro. But I feel steadier on either than I do on my pink mat. So I may keep them both.

I workout on carpet, so that may be why my ProLite bunches a bit. I assume with the grippy underside that it would fare on the hardwood floors much better.

Isebelle, you may still find a Manduka!

I went to my local Marshalls yesterday and they only had one Manduka Pro mat in black. It looked too big and heavy and I wanted a teal or purple one.
I was at a Marshalls near where my mom lives today and no Manduka mats at all. I did buy lots of clothing though!
