Cathe. I'm sure other things could have gotten me where I am now, but when I finally decided to give Cathe a try my general fitness level improved dramatically over a relatively short period of time.

And now I'm thinking I need to give yoga yet another try. How I wish I liked yoga.

I'm not much for systems and when I get them I mix and match but for cardio hands down Turbofire. My cardio endurance has increased dramatically.

For body shaping I mix and match from Cathe and Joyce Vedral.

For overall health, wellbeing and flexibility it's yoga. No particular system.
I mix and match my styles depending on my mood and need at the moment.

Kettlebells improved my endurance and butt better than anything!

Pilates and stability ball work are best for my abs.

APY60. It was the first system I stuck with after years of messing around. I also credit it with giving me the strength and what not to do UY108.

Pilates. Unfortunately.

I find pilates to be unbelievably boring, but I have to say that it was the best exercise regime for increasing my other fitness goals. I've found that it's not the same as "core work" -- even pilates-based core work. The fact that pilates is slow, methodical, and stresses particular moves really makes it what it is. My running improved and so did my weight lifting. My posture and flexibility improved as well (so improved yoga performance). I can see why professional athletes do pilates even though so many other forms of exercise that are core-based have come into fashion. Luckily, I don't care enough about peak performance to feel like I need to be doing pilates on a regular basis.

Chris Freytag's ACE Hiit series has done wonders for my back! Would not have thought so because of all the plank/burpees, etc. but I do the lower impact modifications, use a step to modify the burpees, etc and voila, my lower back problems have improved about 25% which I credit to the core work. This may seem small, but for the past year it's been hard to transition from lying down to standing up due to developing arthritis. After a few weeks with these wonderful workouts (great bargain btw) this problem has almost been alleviated! I have now added in kettlebell kickboxing and they complement Freytag's program really well. My arms look pretty good too .

Much to my surprise, I have been seeing more definition in my upper body from doing Body Pump workouts, than I've seen with any other system. Including P90X, CLX, STS, Body Beast and many more. I have always preferred heavy weight/low rep over low weight/high rep, but felt up for a change recently and started doing Body Pump. I am loving the results I am seeing.
