It's usually posted toward the end of October with instructions on how to sign up. People can sign up regardless of where they are in the world. US based participants can indicate whether they are willing to mail internationally - and I don't think we've ever had a problem with having enough people to do that.
Sometime after the initial sign up is asked for, someone will start a thread for wish lists. You do NOT have to post one, but many people want to help out their Secret Santa and it's really useful when you have someone who doesn't post much and/or someone who tends to buy a lot of workouts and you aren't sure what they have. You must have your package in the mail by early December - I believe the date is usually December 5.
Every year, there are questions about the "requirements" for this program - and there really aren't many. In the past few years, there has been agreement that workouts can be new, gently used, etc. With the economy the way it is especially, there is sensitivity to the costs that can be incurred.
Mainly, people have SO MUCH fun shopping for and receiving from another vidiot. It's the one time of year many of us receive a gift from someone who totally understands our fitness passion.
