Best ball for bar workouts?

The playground ball won't stay behind or between my legs. Any ideas about a good one?

I just got the mini Fitball - obviously I just suck, because I still struggle to keep it in place.

Any ideas/tips on how to keep it there (beyond using glue)??

Mine is an Overball like this http://www.hebru-therapiegeraete-sho...oductViaPortal
I use it for Pilates Super Sculpt, Barre3 and Physique57. I have yet to try a barre workout that uses it behind the knee, but it has a sort-of grippy surface.
Do you wear long pants? Have you tried wearing shorts?

I have the p57 ball as it came with my first set of dvds. Something like it works well as it has a slightly rough, grippy texture--but not so rough to be uncomfortable (I've done the workout in shorts with no problem). I am guess a rougher texture is better than a smooth texture if you are losing the ball.

Mine is not totally inflated, it has some give and is squeezy. I wonder if filling it too much might make it harder to hold i place. I never had a problem keeping it between the legs or in any of the positions in the first p57 set. I do have trouble keeping in behind my leg though. I think I do better in shorts than leggings but could use tips myself on that. Lol!

I started out with my Fitball under-inflated, but it wouldn't stay in place behind my leg. So I fully inflated it - I think maybe it stays in place better now? But still I spend more time fiddling with it that actually doing the exercise.

Between my thighs it stays no problem. Plenty to grip on to there....

I usually wear longer pants, but I might try shorts - it's only heading into winter here, how cold can it possibly be!?!?

Thanks for all the tips! At least I'm not alone with my ball struggles. (somehow that just sounds wrong, but you know what I mean...)

Given that, when my partner recently asked "how was your workout", the first thing I said was "my #$%*#%$ blue ball wouldn't stay behind my leg!", I know exactly what you mean....

I gave up on the ball behind my knee almost right away. I don't use the ball for those exercises any more and just try to keep my leg bent in as much as possible. I think I get the same effect.
