les mills?

any idea what's up with them?

their official website is sporadically down

a LOT of their releases are showing up on ebay and amazon
they usually have those pulled

and beachbody seems to have given up on their bodypump series

It's funny you would post about Les Mills. I was just searching online for their Sports Attack/Body Attack workouts. I would love more cardio like this.

I don't know, but I did notice a lot of their DVDs on Ebay recently. I heard they made a deal with Reebok that would not allow Beachbody to sell the Pump dvds anymore.

I am wondering if Beachbody planned to to do a Bodypump-like release, and they partnered with Les Mills so they could share the very expensive music licensing fees. Then maybe Beachbody cannot release a similar workout to Bodypump for so many years. I'm probably reaching, but I just thought it was an odd pairing from the start.

I'm wondering if something is going on at Beachbody. QVC no longer carries their sets.

It does seem like they now have something going on with Reebok - you can get Pump branded apparel at Reebok.

Our instructor releases are digital downloads, the kits that are being sold might be the few remaining physical releases. The older releases are not relevant according to the updated class format...pretty much worthless to the instructor.

Les Mills instructor numbers have skyrocketed the past few years. I think it is easier to attend a training, pass, and pass a video submission than it was when I went through my Trainings.

What do you need to do to become a trainer. I don't want to be one, except to get the dvds. There is only one gym that teaches near me and it is very expensive to join to just take a class that doesn't fit my schedule too well.

IceQueen you need to attend the two day training, obtain a PASS at the training, present a track during your training, film a live class for assessment and receive certification to teach or refill and resubmit.
The Trainings are top notch, with feedback and requirement to know the music and choreo 100%. Les Mills IMO has gold standard procedures for prechoreographed formats.
