EnglishIvy - yes there was something like that. I don't usually preview, but there was time spent trying on the gear, testing the Stick-e's with a few pushups and downward facing dogs, entering the new DVDs in my spreadsheet, putting them into the DVD cases that hold my collection, dancing around in happiness.... So much for the work I'd planned on getting done this morning.
starbelly - As I used to live in England, I feel your pain. People in the US don't realize how good they have it.... I use myus.com, but my main reason is not so much to avoid import duties as to get stuff that I just can't find here. The service declares a value (they decide) which is less than the actual cost but not so low as to become suspicious. For example, the DVDs were declared as having a value of US$2.50 each. These days I usually end up paying some duty but then I get my stuff. I'm happy to answer more questions if you want to pm me, but I think their website is pretty comprehensive. |
