We're currently listening to The Hot Zone audiobook. I read it years ago when it first came out.

It is non-fiction about the early Ebola outbreaks in the 1970's. Very scary reading/listening!

FYI Lynn, the newest Macomber angel book is Mr. Miracle. It's pretty good for those books.

Has anyone read the book "the Christmas Light?" It is by the author of "The Christmas Shoes." My library just got it in.

I just finished "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr. It is an excellent book and I highly recommend it. The writing was excellent, good characters and a compelling story. A bit of mystery and suspense in there as well for you mystery lovers.

What did you think about it? I read Me Before You which I loved and The Girl you Left Behind which was OK.

I guess I'm not much in a reading mood.

Started David Mitchell's The Bone Clocks, but it took a dark/creepy turn and I just couldn't continue.

The low alcohol cocktail cookbook Shim seems to be geared towards people with access to liquor brands and types that aren't available in my state. (Liquor here can only be legally purchased through a state controlled liquor store, with a set list of what's available, decided on by a board that's mostly made up of teetotalers. Sigh. They're years behind on a plan to expand their warehouse. ) Nice concept, though.

And the public library comes through again!

I have the new Mercedes Lackey on hold and it's arrived! Wish I'd spotted it earlier in the day, but I guess I can wait til tomorrow patiently enough.

Also finally got in the Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince by Robin Hobb, the only copy in the system had been checked out just about forever and it showed up today too.

This will motivate me to get my workouts done early so I can get out and about and pick the books up.
