Sunday Fun: Oldie workouts you've rediscovered recently

Me: FIRM Standing Legs - Excellent traditional LB workout - I like that it works the upper body at the same times and that it keeps my HR up.

Cathe Push Pull & Super Sets - love doing only the upper body parts of these workouts - great music!

What have you gotten out and wondered why you ever put it away? What do you love about it?

I recently did both Step Heaven and Still Steppin'. Near perfection in my opinion. It took me a long time to get the choreography down back when I first got them, but once I did, I had so much fun doing these two workouts. I don't know why I don't do them more often. Great music, excellent cuing, and the moves seem to flow well.

Hi/Lo Heaven I love the music and the fact that Christi and her bodyguards are obviously having a wonderful time. The hi/low is also truly high and then low -- everything isn't high impact. Christi also goofs sometimes during the routine, and that's also fun to watch.

No Sweat with Lyle Alzado -- the Raider football legend. This is up there with the Fabio video as being a great workout, but an utterly cheeseball production. The weight segment has the Darth Raider himself doing an arm routine with milk gallon jugs and then finishing it by chugging one down. One major plus is that the video is loaded with lots of original catchy 80s songs written by Michael Sembello -- the guy who composed "Maniac" for the movie Flashdance.

I just did Jane Fonda's Complete Workout (virgin).
I wanted to try one of her workouts for the longest time. I don't see myself reaching for this again...ever. I liked her but the 80s vibe is too much for me. Going in the sell pile.

I just bought Jane Fonda's Original Workout on DVD. Wow, did that bring back memories! I wonder how many years I did it daily during high school and right after graduating?

I recently did Tom Holland's Total Body Workout and so enjoyed it! Good weights work, my heart rate stayed elevated, and easy to modify. I plan to work it in more often.

I did the Tom Holland workout last week too! It was fun and everything was done in a short amount of time. Weights, I chose moderate and cardio I chose rebounding, tall box climbs and jumping jacks. I like that Tom is direct, to the point and exudes positivity. I'm glad I found this on my shelf.

Another Oldie I did was Body Bar Equanimity with LaShaun Dale. The good thing was I had time for a longer workout, got to use my body bars and fit ball. LaShaun really shines in this and the workout flows from one thing to the next. I felt worked out but mellow too.

Also recently I was looking for a fun cardio that I wouldn't have to learn new moves and off the shelf came Jane Fondas Lean Routine. Had fun but the sad thing is my tape is deteriorating.

I *sort of* did FIRM Vol. 1 for the very first time. I had to modify a lot. I wouldn't be in a hurry to do it again. I did like a few segments.

There is an oldie/vintage/dustbunny random check-in for folks who dust off oldies and want to post about it:

Everyone is welcome!
