Mine does, too, and I love it! (there's no way I'd actually 'hand wash' something by hand. Heck, I'm not sure I'd even know how to do it correctly to be able to get all the detergent out without manhandling the material too much).

I was really surprised to hear about the Woolite--won't be using that any more...and really appreciate the tips.

Thanks again

Yeah, wish I'd read this post before buying a new bottle!

At what point do you put the vinegar in? During the rinse cycle? I only use fabric softener to help rinse my clothes. Is that what the vinegar does? Does the vinegar smell rinse right out?

What regular detergent does everyone consider gentle?

I use vinegar in the rinse cycle for all my clothes. I've never noticed a vinegary odor, though. Maybe start out with a little less if you are concerned. I use one cup for large loads, less for smaller loads.

How does one use vinegar in a front loading washer? Put it in the fabric softener cup and let the washer release it when it's time?

Thanks!

I wash my workout clothing inside-out and they drip dry. I have found that they last longer, retain their shape and the colors remain vibrant.

I've been washing my workout clothes in sports/workout gear detergents & cold water on the gentle cycle for 2-3 years now. They sell these detergents at Kroger grocery stores & sports stores like Sports Authority & Dick's. One brand that comes to mind that I'm currently using is Win.
