Before you pitch your DVDs, try drying them out completely and testing them.
I had a box of DVDs that was on top of a stack in our storage unit. Somehow a leak from melted snow got in through the roof and dripped over and over into that box. All the sleeves were ruined. But, with well over 60 DVDs packed in that box (about a third were my fitness DVDs), I salvaged every single one but one. I just set them out, not touching each other, until they were completely dry. Living here in Denver, it's low humidity so that certainly helped. After they were dry, I wiped them good with a DVD cleaning cloth and tested them out. All but one didn't work and, I 'think' that may have been a defective one way before.

All in all, the most precious things of all, your family, were spared.

I am glad you, your kids and your dog escaped unharmed. I have a lot of DVDs I do not use so please post a list of what you want.

I’m so sorry to hear about the fire. Dogs (especially goldens) are angels on earth. I’ve heard so many similar stories about dogs alerting to danger and saving lives. Thank God you’re all okay.

Please let me know if I can send you any DVDS.

So very sorry to hear about the fire. I'm sure you're beyond grateful to be alive. I don't know you and I am deeply grateful for your dog and your families lives.

I have a stack of Ellen Barrett workouts I would love to mail to you if you haven't already had offers: Fat Burning Fusion, Fusion Flow, Barefoot Cardio, Yogini, Power Fusion and Grace+Gusto. I am a slow mailer and about to be out of town, but they are yours if you'd like.

I'm also about to declutter, so knowing there's someone who might love workouts I don't use often would make it much easier to send them away. Add me to the list of those hoping to help fill the void a teeny bit.
