I couldn't post until I renewed my VF support subscription

Is this the way it's supposed to work? I thought you could post as a registered user.

I emailed Wendy on Tuesday but I didn't get a reply, so I just now renewed my VF support subscription and I was immediately allowed to post.

I'm mainly posting this as FYI for people who find themselves in the same situation.

Lisa,
My subscription expired before I could renew because the renewal process was acting glitchy for me.

However, I was able to post and send PMs.

So I think this experience of yours is odd...and hopefully not a trend.

That is how it always works for me. When my subscription runs out, I can't post until I renew.

That seems weird since many of us post and aren't VF supporters.

I just have to be logged in and I can post without being a supporter.

I think my subscription has expired, and I can log in. I also still have my avatar pic. I need to subscribe again, now that I think about it.

I'm curious, how do you know you couldn't post before you renewed? I'm only asking since I know some folks (including me) have periodic issues with getting a "500 Internal Server Error" and can't post. This doesn't seem to be related to membership, although nobody seems to know why it happens. Other than that, I've got no idea what happened in your situation but glad it's been resolved.

I may be misremembering but for my case, I believe the reply button was greyed out. However, I do remember that my avatar photo was still visible. I need to renew again next month and will pay closer attention.

I tried to attach the screenshots that I sent to Wendy. It sounds like lizh may have had the same issue. I think the Post Reply button was missing, but I can't remember.

At first I thought I might be banned but I don't know what I could have written to get myself banned. As soon as I submitted my renewal through PayPal I was allowed to post.
