I've been doing this one lately because I have a lower body injury and needed something that I can easily do seated or standing in place without moving around too much. It's a good workout and strangely satisfying when you're done. On the other hand, I think the only reason I'm liking it right now is because it's suited to my injury situation. Before I was injured I hardly ever used it because it is so long and does move so slowly. On the other hand, you can mix and match and choose individual exercises to shorten it up. Or you can skip ahead over some of the repeated sets to save time. There are no premixes though.

I wish I could add a positive post but I recall this as being a clock watcher... ergo, I had my husband remove the wall clock from the workout area...
Seriously, it was not my favorite Cathe and I believe I only did it one time. However, look at the trailers and decide if it is something YOU would like to try. It may be for you...

Well, it is a bit boring. But I got a lot stronger and improved endurance too. I did one body part a day instead of a 3 day split. It goes faster that way.

I love S&H! I love that I can focus on FORM, getting it nailed down perfectly, I can go deeper into squats and lunges, and it's very meditative. I personally don't feel bored by it at all!

Different strokes, I guess. Maybe it would be a better idea to temp trade for it and give it a week's try before buying?

That's a good idea!

Although I DO NOT like this workout if you can use the 30% off coupon and get free shipping, it's a good deal. That way you know it's a legit copy and if you don't like it, you can trade it or resell it.

And it's on sale, even more of a bonus. $28 is worth the risk IMO.

I guess I'm in the minority. I don't care for Slow and Heavy. I like Meso 3 a lot better. I do like the ab work on it, but that's about it.

I don't mind Slow & Heavy. I think you just have to be in the right mindset. I also like seeing the older crew. I think Jai was a new cast member back then, IIRC.

I dislike how cluttered every new Cathe workout seems to be. It's a bit of a distraction for me.

Cathe's always terrific, and she's great in this one, too!

I think it just depends on how often you think you'll want to focus on heavier lifting. I might only use this one two to three times a year in a rotation, but not more than that, usually.

I have Meso 3 also, and for some reason I have a bit of a dread factor with it. Maybe because the STS rotation seemed to be endless.

I like it, and when I used it, I would vary the count (I do find the "6-up/2-down" count to be "too fast" on the down, so usually did a 5/3 count, but 4/4 for shoulder work). There is also a bit too much chest vs. back work, IMO, so I usually skip a set or two of chest.

I really like the music, and I don't find it boring, but I'm one who kind of likes the "I'm a machine working out in a factory" approach to weight lifting rather than the "LET'S HAVE FUN!!!!" approach.
