An "Official" Rebounder tape substitution thread?

Since interest in rebounding seems to be on the rise and since there isn't a huge selection of great rebounding tapes, would anyone be interested in posting non-rebounding tapes that translated well to the rebounder to a single thread? This could be entire tapes or portions of a tape. We've seen a Gilad tape, MIC hi/lo, and Firm Classics all in different threads. It would be helpful to me to see them posted in one place. What do you think?

My mission, should I choose to accept it?

I know I've been one of the more vocal "wow, this tape works great with the rebounder" posters. I can't sit down and list them now, but I'll do my best to put together a list of the tapes I have that work best with the trampoline.

By Friday, at the latest!

If I don't, my computer will self-destruct, so now I gotta.

I posted this in another thread, but I'll do it again here. I used the rebounder for Firm Maximum Cardio this morning and it worked pretty well (during the floor aerobic portions). I had to substitute some moves, but overall it worked out nicely. The music worked well with it too.

Tae Bo and Cardio Kicks

My first at home workout on the rebounder was Tae Bo Basic Volume 3 and the drills section of Cardio Kicks. Both translated pretty well to the rebounder thoughI had a little difficulty keeping my balance on the back kicks and roundhouse kicks. The jump front kicks in Cardio Kicks were almost easy on the rebounder, there was no impact at all. I think I'll try more Tae Bo Basics - not sure I could handle the faster pace of the Advanced tapes on the rebounder.

Oh no...

...I think I may be hearing the call of the rebounder! Ack! I'll have to add it to my list of equipment with which to outfit the new workout room! I've already added to my list of videos to buy once the room is fit (no pun intended) to workout in... I really have trouble with a lot of high impact on the floor, and the rebounder may be the solution.

And I was thinking... it's not so much a cardio workout, but based on what I saw of the Ooof Ball video at Saturday's video viewing, it seems that might translate well to the rebounder. Could add an element of balance to make the core work tougher, maybe? Just a thought -- someone who's actually done the video may have a better idea whether it would work or not.

Oh no again!

Well, I already have the rebounder, but I've been looking at the OoofBall workout and talking myself out of it with great regularity. Then along comes Lynne, who contemplates ooofing on a rebounder! Double ack! Either I quit coming to VF and save money but lapse into a major funk because I miss it so much, or I continue to visit VF and spend money but lapse into a major funk because I've spent too much! Maybe WWWendy needs to add something to the site that says "Welcome to VF--Let us help you spend your money!"

Leslie Sansone!!

A friend suggested that I try a Leslie Sansone video on my rebounder. I thought she was nuts, but I decided to try it anyway because she usually has great ideas. Well, this was one of them. The downward push of the walking, especially when you get into the workout and the pace picks up, is perfect for a rebounder. And being on the rebounder definitely increased the intensity of the workout. It required only minor modifications. For example, I did a step-stomp than a step-touch on the side steps, and I just kept walking in place instead of moving forward and back. But all the kicks and knee lifts were perfect on the rebounder. Who would have thought??

Hi Martha

I was just thinking about Leslie's videos and the rebounder. The one that I thought would be great on the rebounder is her, Too Busy to Workout, tape. It's actually a light jogging tape. But, I think all of her tapes would work.

I tried TKO last night

I did the first cardio section of TKO with Debbie B last night. It has a bunch of jumping and small/tighter foot work and figured it wouldn't take much space. It was pretty fun and worked well on the rebounder. The only thing that throws you a bit is coming out of a bounce and trying to get into a new combo and start punching..there's sort of a run over from the last move. Felicia, did you find that with Taebo? That and on some moves I wanted my stance bigger and there just wasn't room on the rebounder.

Lynne, I like that idea...I'll have to give it a go and see how the oof ball workout is on the rebounder. I think its going to be a double whammy on the core and stability training...sort of like the coreboard.

Even though it's fun trying different tapes on the rebounder...I've never been good at trying to modify one work out to fit another..I'll be happy to get the Urban Rebounding tape...just plug it in and go.
