Hi Everyone,

Yesterday evening after work I did CS 1030 - Stress Relief. No walk due to the rain.

Tomorrow will be a rest day of sorts - my DD is participating in another horse show and that will be a full day - I will be on my feet and walking around for much of the day. Sunday may be a rest day, too, to recover from the long day - or maybe a Yoga day.

I haven't totally figured out what I want to do for November. I listened to Pahla's talk about exercise motivation and one thing she mentions is having a plan. So, that got me thinking about coming up with something a little more focused than what I have been doing...which is bouncing around.

Also, unfortunately, I think Pahla's workouts may be a culprit in some of the hip tightness I experience - I did a few of her workouts the past week or so and noticed the tightness creeping back in. I'm not sure what it is exactly about them that does that....but that is what I suspect. I may have to do more experiments to find out.

Today has been:

Blissasana Yoga - You Tube - Morning Mobility Practice - I really enjoyed this one, lovely scenery. I will have to do more from this You Tube channel. She also has a paid site that is reasonable (9.99/month) and looks to have some nice workouts incldued.

Jessica Valent - Lift those Buns Pilates - Jessica is almost like PT to me, which I guess makes sense since she is a PT.

Probably no walk today - bad weather - and I probably should do some housework during my break today, anyway.

Carol - you do have the craziest weather! Hard to plan for everything, isn't it? I think the 'non-believer' stuff is real, unfortunately. For the most part, around here, people do comply with the mask wearing mandates - but this is a liberal state. Our Republican Governor certainly walks a fine line - I think more often than not he probably disappoints the harder core of his party than the other side...particularly with his handling of the pandemic. I just wish mask wearing wasn't such a political issue.

Linda - that is terrible about the H.S. having to close. All it really takes is one person to set off a chain reaction.

Hope everyone has a good day - TGiF!

I was super tired today, so I wimped out and went with a Bar Method workout:

Bar Method - Focus on Breathe - 45 minutes

This was a beginner level workout, but it was plenty challenging for me today. Loved all the stretching though.

I'm very glad this week is done. I'm still way behind at work, but hopefully I will make some headway this coming week on catching up.

Donna - I can see all those knee lifts that Pahla does bothering your back. And she doesn't really do much stretching at all. We live in probably the most conservative, self-reliant area of the US with the exception of Wyoming. No one is going to tell us what to do...

Linda - No idea yet - I think I'm going to stick with Cathe for a while and then I may do an Ellen rotation or Bar Method rotation for December. Both of those sound nice and gentle.

Waves to all ~ Wish I could say that I want the election to be over (and I do) - I just don't think it's going to be over, no matter the outcome.

Good morning!

October was a bust for me - for many reasons, but at least I ended the month with:

Cathe ICE Metabolic Total Body - 48minutes.
Leslie's 1 Miracle Mile - 15min.

In November, once again I'm going to try for consistency. I didn't succeed in October but November is another month. I'm going to try to do 3 strength workouts per week: 1 UB, 1 LB and 1 total body. Pilates/yoga on the alternate days. We'll see what happens.

I got my furnace fixed to the tune of $1800 total and I'm pretty disgusted at the cost. Now, it looks like I will need to call a plumber for one of my bathrooms. Ugh.

On a good note, my sweetheart Basil is hanging in there although he's definitely declining from day-to-day. My heart is breaking when I see him like that but I keep and eye on him, hug him a lot and keep him purring. That's all I can do.

Tomorrow is November. I can't wait for this chaotic, miserable year to end.

Waves to all!

Dana what's your opinion of ICE cardio compared to LITE as far as music and fun factor?

And if anyone else has done both, echoing question to you, too!

Linda, I got ICE and LITE sets a little over a year ago and I've only done couple of LITEs (a year ago) and only started back with ICE this week. I haven't done either set with any consistency to compare the two (even if I could remember!), but I know I did LITE Metabolic Blast a year ago and remember it being a lot more fun than ICE Metabolic Total Body I did today. ICE Total Body was challenging to me, not that much fun and somewhat choppy. Later this week, I want to to the LITE Metabolic Blast again and see if it's as much fun as I remembered it to be I'll be happy to compare these as I go along.

Dana that would be great if you can!
I'm so glad that Basil is ok right now. That furnace bill of yours made me gasp!

Carol ohh if you make a schedule of Ellen I'd love to join you. Whenever you do it, I'll be happy to join as I see titles in common with yours.

Donna, enjoy your rest time! You so quite a bit and rest is important. Especially when you're not feeling 100%.

Yesterday was CS #1230 Quad Flexibility and nothing else. Taking stock of how I feel and will come back and edit this post with what I do.

Happy Saturday wishes to everyone!!
