Tuesday
was ONLY a couple of stretches, as seniors did their major final exams (state-wide) and have been doing the questions myself. 4 levels, each a 3-hour exam, so 12 hours of questions to do.
Wednesday
Cathe - Step Heat, 6"
was really please with my knee - added all the air until had the smallest bit of a wobble & DH said he heard the little gasp, so eased off just a tad after than and renewed my focus on form.

SANDY
progress of any kind is definitely better than backsliding - that's why I've been so careful with my knee.

BUFF
Good to hear you slept well AND that you felt good after going heavy.

VANNIE
How do you approach new sets?

I get everything in my database - entries for the workouts, all the premixes, and bonus abs for Addons, including breakdowns, so it takes a few days to get all the info. THEN I tend to just let them sit there until they come up in my computer-spit as I work my way through virgins, from beginner to advanced, and oldest to newest within that, so the Cardio SuperSets & AfterBurn I did recently were VIRGINAL!
Still have yet to do many from other sets I've bought. It's a bit weird but that's how I do things - systematically.

Thanks for asking Helen.

To top it off, I went heavy on today's workouts and it felt good. Liked the last 2 pilates band workouts even though I don't usually love band work. Qigong seems to be working out better than meditation since I get to move and focus on my breath. Happily there are lots of short practices on the site posted in GD.

Looking forward to hearing thoughts on Perfect 30 Vannie and Helen. The strength workout sounds like it might be OK but maybe not something I need to purchase.
Sandy Hope the hypermobility workout is a good one.
Good news on the progress on the flare up.

I'm not usually a band pilates fan. I'll have to check those out.

No surprise, but I haven't bought a DVD in I would guess five years.

I did the hypermobility workout last Saturday. It was very similar to the Caroline Jordan rehab work I've been doing.

I haven't even opened Perfect 30 yet. I hope to download the guide today or tmrw and look over it. I'm thinking about doing in November whatever rotation there is and considering doing the Rowvember challenge Dark Horse Rowing on YouTube has, to row every day of the month. I already know I won't be able to do every day though so can't decide. Plus I haven't rowed in months and wasn't consistent ever so I don't know if I'll get sick of it. Running is off the table right now as my glutes and hamstrings are really flaring up and hurting even with short jogs across the street and just in general. And getting worse, so I gotta get back to lower body PT. Sigh. So far this week on Mon and Tue I did days 2 and 3 of the DYY Anti Back Pain Yoga series and foam rolled Tue and Wed. Going forward for now I will be modifying yoga with props to make sure I am not stretching and irritating my hamstrings. I'm also trying to sit less and hoping our long walks aren't exacerbating anything.

If you're willing to hold off on Perfect30 for a bit, we could pressure/support each other into following one of the rotations by doing it together. I've already entered the rotas, and have all workouts in the combined rotas.

I don't know when mine will arrive, but shouldn't be too long.

Thursday
85min, Zosha - Pilates TV - 4 of the mini workouts strung together.

Helen, that sounds good. I may try a couple of the workouts but I'll wait for you to start the rotation. Ladies on another of my checkins said have your equipment ready bc it moves pretty fast. I can't even remember the last time I did a Cathe workout!

Excellent!! Let me know if you want to do a combined rota or the straight one.
Mine left Japan a few days ago, so expecting them before the end of next week.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Best day of the year, in my book! I have to admit, though, for some reason this year I am less excited about the trick or treating and still haven't decided on my costume. Maybe it's just the 2020 funk, everything has been so different with our personal stuff and with the world. I am very much enjoying my horror movie indulgences though! By the time I watch all that I have recorded it will be over 100 movies, most if which I'm seeing for the first time!

I can't believe tmrw is November as well as the time change. I better spend some time btwn movies today figuring out my goals and plans for the month!

I don't have TV or satellite, and I haven't been to a movie theater in over 20 years. We don't buy or rent movie DVDs.

I finished the 30 day ab challenge. Action Jacquelyn puts together tough 30 day challenges, and her counting was much better on the abs than on the glute challenge.

We don't do Halloween. We usually just keep the lights out on the front side of the house, so no one comes to the door. I am planning to visit my sister Carol who did get candy in case people come to her house. I'll go there before trick or treat starts and come home after.
