You are welcome (you too Karla)! Those were just general ideas; I always emphasize to my therapy clients that your coping toolbox needs to have tools that work for YOU. The problem is that we tend to rule out things that don't work 100% of the time...even though we know that obviously nothing is 100%.

I did the entire program. Now I started with Cathe's Perfect 30 but tonight I did MBF Week 1 Total Body Burn. And thank you....the funk is real but we have to keep fighting!
Thanks for clarifying the workouts. I kept trying to think of an instructor with the initials MBF. Lol!

Any article or youtube video recommendations? Thanks
The practice he taught is called Yi Chuan which loosely translated means mind boxing or mind fighting. It is hard to find stuff on YouTube but I will look and get back to you. I was actually looking myself for some videos since he does not record his classes so I have to take notes or go by memory. Not that I would find exactly what he does.
You can look up Standing Post meditation (Zhan Zhuang) which is part of the Yi Chuan practice but also used in QiGong generally. There are different hand/arm positions you can hold.
I will try to find info on walking meditation that approximates what I was taught. There is some info in his book ""The Way of QiGong" by Ken Cohen.

Bluebelle, I couldn't find anything like what I learned in that YiQuan class but I did find a video of Crane walking which I learned from him in another class.

This is actually really meditative to me.

I may have another video I can send. I will PM you.

Hello my friends!

I have really enjoyed reading this thread, and catching up on everyone. Hugs to all of you struggling. It has been quite the year hasn't it?

This year has definitely changed my life! In a good way for sure! In late March my HIIT circuit class, that has been my life for 6 years, shut down. And of course Planet Fitness did as well. So there went my HIIT workouts and my heavy weight workouts. So... I came back to my roots, the DVDs that were my staple for so many years. I started doing home workouts again (mainly Cathe). I also amped up my running, running more often, more mileage and steep hills.

The biggest and most wonderful thing that happened in the middle of all this was I got married! I met a wonderful man about 3 years ago (3 years after my late DH passed), and we tied the knot in a lovely ceremony in July, with family and close friends around us.

So now I have a new husband and we used the quarantine to really get serious about our (his) nutrition and workouts. We basically kept eating the good, whole food we were already eating, but eliminated a few things. He lost 20 lbs immediately. I dropped about 8 lbs, and not intentionally, but it was hard not to. I had to have my wedding dress altered twice because of the weight loss. Thank goodness my seamstress was still seeing customers during the lock down.

So back in June my HIIT class opened back up, but ultimately couldn't survive because so many people quit, so they closed permanently about a month ago. I didn't go back to Planet Fitness because we decided we would invest some money in an awesome Fitness machine that includes a pully system, smith bar and more. (Inspire Functional Fitness Trainer). It was quite the investment, but I won't ever be going back to a gym. My basement is fully equipped now, and I'm back on board with Cathe!

My new husband Kevin.....
