It looks the the highest # of VFers was 1,843 on 10/1/2015. Right now there are about on 506 including guests. I don’t think VF lost that many members because of two posts. You’d think more people would be responding or at least posting. 506 is a decent number reading. I remember some pretty ugly T-Tapp threads and TA threads. VF can be a little like 7th grade if you’re not one of the popular girls. I think Cardio Barre might have had a tiny rumble. Every time VF gets extra slow there’s a big post about bringing the board back to life but it’s never too long before someone is sweetly slapped down for their own good and people dive for cover.

There were also the Fascia Blaster threads. I think that was post-TA era but, similar to the TA threads, never ended well. (Edited to add: I was typing this while others were posting.)
Disclaimer: This post is not intended to be controversial or reopen old wounds. It's just that VF history is actually kind of interesting to me. I used to sometimes go back in time (before my time on VF) and read old threads about "she who will not be named" and that member who had multiple usernames/personalities but it turned out to be all one person. Sometimes I'd do this just so I'd be able to understand vague references to the past that were made more recently. FWIW, both the "she who cannot be named" phenomenon and one person pretending to be multiple people with different accounts have happened on others forums I belong to so (strangely) neither appears to unique to VF or fitness forums in general. |
