Cleda - 7 mph is a great sprint! Be proud! Look at how far you have come. I also like Matty for his workouts being NOT killer, no dread factor. I was shocked to see some older workouts where Denis had a ponytail! What?
Pam - I did yoga with Adriene years ago when she had the shorter hair and I still like her! Very calming and do what you can approach. And who doesn't like her dog?
Helen - I can understand your frustration. You want to be back to normal and this doctor may be underestimating what normal is for you. I would not discount a second opinion, and ultimately I hope you get to make the decision.

Okay, my workouts:
2/5 - dog walk
Zumba Cardio Dance Workout for Seniors from YT. It was okay, but I didn't care for the instructor. Part of the problem was she didn't wear a mike and was shouting over the music the whole time.
Power Walk 80's w/ Gina B on YT
rebounding to get my steps
2/6 - dog walk
30 Minute Walk & Run w/ Selena
Walk, Sweat, Sculpt Lower Body from GHU. This was led by someone other than Chris, same format of 5 min. cardio/5 min. strength which I like.

Got my steps in for the week and this will be a rest day, but will do something.

Denis's long hair

Lili: Denis grows his hair for donation. I don't know what organization he donates it to, but he lets it grow forever and then cuts it off. I was shocked when he cut it, as I only knew him with LONG hair and a ponytail and the "fabio" look. . . . he's so cute in a hippy, zen kinda way!

Still haven't worked out. I will though.

Quickie before I take Alice out for after work walk, get it in before buddy-time

DH walked Alice instead

42min, Cathe - LIS - Low Impact Challenge - Step Express 1 Mix, with buddy

And then off to get chores done before heading into work.

Waves to all! Shout outs (later? Maybe!)

2/7/2021: 20 mins. Go Canada Ride with Cody, 20 mins. UK Celebration ride with Ben, 20 mins. Full Body Strength with Robin, 20 mins. Pilates w/Hannah Corbin, 15 mins Pilates w/Emma, 10 mins. relaxing meditation before bed.

that's it. A good mix.
I'm tired this a.m. (what else is new?)
waiting for the coffee to kick in.

I’m baaaak!

So 58min, Cathe - Step Max, 6”
Doing really well with the jumps now, only skipped richochets

Down to 3% power on pad, switching to phone.

CLEDA
how cool about Denis and his hair!
Few are so dedicated even though the only effort required is tending it as it grows - longer to care for etc.

LILI
I heard long ago when gym instructors always yelled over the music that it was common for them to get nodes on their vocal chords. So much better with modern equipment!

PAM
thanks for the meniscus reassurance via your DH

KNEE
Can’t get in with Sydney guy until JUNE!!! So I’ll end up testing the “adaptation” theory that the Physio was promoting - non surgical recovery by becoming more mentally attuned to adapting until it becomes automatic.
DH encouraged me to be patient and wait until June as his specialty is knees is older people - it just feels weird to be categorised as such.

Helen - you're not old, but your knee is acting like it is! That's a long time to wait in addition to the time you have already spent dealing with this. No advice here, I'm very impatient when it comes to feeling better.
Pam - your walks sound so nice, but it is usually too cold here for me to enjoy a walk in the woods.
Cleda - With the amount of sleep you get, I don't understand how you get through the day! You are allowed to be tired.

2/7 - rest day, Full Body Flow Yoga w/ Adriene. It was snowing/raining most of the day, so no dog walk.

Feb 8:
~6 km hike in the forestry trails
~Barre3: 30 Min Strength
~Yin yoga class on zoom - I miss going in person to these cozy yin classes by the fire, arriving to everything set up....mat, bolsters, blankets & blocks. It was a such a lovely treat!
~Insight Timer: Sound Bath Guided Meditation

Helen - Ageism is a pet peeve of mine, you definitely aren’t old! That is a long wait.

Lili - Our walks in the woods are my sanity saver! We’ve had lovely weather lately but are expecting it to get colder with a little snow. We are a block up from the ocean so likely it won’t stick. Fingers crossed!

Waves to Cleda!
