Cyric and I did wk1 day2 of ZR5k. He got tired of running laps so I left him at the house at 1.95 miles. I did a total of 2.8 with my fastest pace being 6:01 this time. It's fun running that fast when I know it's so short!

You don't have to be fast, just keep moving forward.

Great job Vannie! Sounds like your PT efforts must be working and things are going pretty well!

Vannie, great job!

I started Jessica Smith's February Fusion schedule yesterday. I'm switching the cardio and strength days, since I count my Wednesday Tai Chi as cardio. Yesterday was Cardio Mat Fusion 2 and today was 30 Minute Fusion Sculpt, both from You Tube.

Today was my Tai Chi class. I am enjoying it a lot, it's nice to get out of the house. I'm even starting to come out of my shell and chat a bit, lol.

Just PT tonight. I added banana pose. Ahhhhhh, so good! I did do psoas release and hip traction before the exercises.

Sherry, I'm glad you're enjoying tai chi and making some acquaintances. Good for you!

Sherry, your Tai Chi class sounds like fun! I can't remember, is it done outside?

Vannie, what is banana pose? Glad your exercises are helping!

We're in winter wonderland mode right now. This morning the thermometer on the porch had bottomed out at 30 below zero so who knows how cold it really was. But we should see a warming trend here soon, even in the 40's predicted! Hard to believe, at least a 60 degree swing from what we had this morning. It'll feel like T-shirt weather!! I keep doing PT type exercises and clips from youtube. Maybe today I'll pull out a dvd for a change.

Waves to MT and Scarlett!

Katie, there's a link to banana pose. Jill does it in YTU lower body series, I think in the 10 min lower back fix. It always feels so good but I kind of forgot about it till I was doing more reading on the QL yesterday. I'm adding it to the daily routine.

Whew, 30 below is a bit chilly! Chianna might have even been cold in that!

Tonight Cyric and I finished week 1 of ZR5k, 2.54 min 34 min. His heart wasn't in it tonight. You know how some people run with an open parachute behind them for resistance? Yeah...Cyric was my parachute. I dropped him off at the house after the intervals again.

I'm thinking of doing a 5 mile trail run in August.

Katie, the Tai chi class is indoors. It’s too cold for us, with the highs in the 50’s and 60’s, lol. I wouldn’t mind outdoors when it’s warmer, but my hay fever would probably kill me!
