February 2020 Add 'em up Goals Challenge ~All welcome!

Come join us in setting and achieving goals to promote your overall wellness! We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to chat when we have time, but please also feel free to join us if you want to just focus on your goals. No pressure here to address everyone; share as little or as much as you want!

We have been doing this challenge for many years now. While it is not strictly about fitness goals, we agree that our daily life goals work together with our fitness goals to make us happier and more balanced, so we combine them in this challenge. Feel free to join us! You can tailor it to your schedule if you need to take a week off for vacation or only count so many days. Whatever works for you!

Premise: Choose your goals for the month. Every time you complete a goal you get a point. Multiply your number of daily goals by the number of days in the month. This is your max total points. If you choose, reward yourself for reaching a certain percentage of your max possible (I use 90% for my personal goal), multiply by your max to get your total goal points. I also give myself extra credit options.

How is tmrw February???

I think I'm going to do 50 Days of Fit starting tmrw. I was listening to Workout Wednesday podcast and a couple years ago he did this. So my challenge is: workout every day for at least 15 minutes (not dog walks), drink 80 oz of water a day and get 7 hours of sleep (based on what time I go to bed and get up, not on what my Fitbit says I slept since sometimes it claims I'm out of bed in the middle of the night).

I just posted my goals and then read your goal of 80 oz a day of water Vannie. Even with premeasuring, I've been having a tough time making my water goals(75 oz) this past month. I just have such a harder time drinking that much water during cooler weather but I know I need to. Seeing your goal of drinking 80 a day helped me recommit to drinking my 75.

Katie, I had to add the goal back bc I've mostly been drinking around 65 or so. Yesterday and the day before I drank over 90 each day! I think walking outside in the cold makes me thirsty, especially if it's cold enough that I breathe through my mouth. Sometimes I'll get back from a walk and guzzle down 15 oz immediately. I do count my chamomile tea in my total but not green tea since that has caffeine. My friend never drinks water. Ever. She lives on coffee and Diet Mountain Dew. She knows she needs to drink water but just never does.

I haven't really met goals today but there's still time before bed. I'm aiming for PT just once a day instead of twice.

I drink tons of water in the summer, but I struggle to meet my water goals this time of year.

I love Mtn. Dew. I don't drink it very often, but I LOVE IT! The new Mtn. Dew Zero is pretty good. Way better than Diet.

We NEVER drank water when I was a kid. We had Coke, beer and milk in our house. I drank milk at school, but Coke the rest of the time. I am forever grateful to Coke for changing their formula in 1985. I hated it. When they changed it back, it was never the same.
