This may not appeal to everyone, but I've got to rave about the treadmill running program I'm doing from a book my husband bought. I'm not a "runner", ie. I enjoy running as a way to add variety to my cardio, but running outside hurts my joints so I've always done my running on my treadmill. I have slowly jogged two 5K's and walk/jogged one 10K outside, but that's it for my running resume.
I love this book. I definitely feel it is taking my running up a notch and I feel great and pain free. I'm just finishing the 3rd week of the introductory workout and then after that there is a 6 week program. You basically run 3 days a week and the rest of the days you do what you want. He suggests yoga and some strength training. The first few runs are about 20 minutes and now they are 30 minutes. Here's a link to a review of the book.... http://www.marontherun.com/2016/01/0...orkout-review/ |
