hdw - I would not want to try to disassemble it every time. I haven't tried it, but it just seems like that would prevent me from wanting to use it. I have mine stored up against the wall with my bosu and stability ball underneath it. It really doesn't take up that much space - in particular if you have other fitness equipment rumbling around your living/family room.

I love it -- it's one of the best fitness equipment purchases I've ever made!

I agree. This is one of my favorite fitness purchases! In addition to using it for STS to hold my barbell, and for chinups/pullups, I also use it for barre workouts.

If some day in the distant future I can no longer work out () the tower would be great to hang shirts on...

I can't say what it will be like to assemble / disassemble on a regular basis, but in theory, it's very easy and should be fast. There are two clips on each side that need removing, then you just slip the top part off. Both pieces can then either lay flat or lean against a wall. My sis does this regularly and told me not to worry about this aspect (this was one thing that was holding me back from purchasing).

Mandy - there is a SLIGHT wobble due to the clips, but it's totally and completely sturdy. The thing isn't going anywhere. The wobble is there because of the ability to take it apart with the clips - so the top piece can slide easily into the bottom piece. Once you put any body weight on it (doing pull/chin ups, for example), or put a barbell on it, it's rock solid. Mine workout room has nubby carpet (berber style) so it's not even on a totally firm floor, and I find it to be incredibly stable.

The shipping is high (it weighs nearly 40#, so that is no surprise), but if you get this when it's the "deal of the week" or whatever she has on her site, the discount is effectively the shipping cost, which really helped the overall price. I honestly think even with shipping added in that it's a very good price. I'd have paid $200 for this, easy.

How comfortable is it to do pullups and chinups on the tower?

Yes, mine came with straps. I use them sometimes when my wrists are acting up.

Gwynn -

Did you order on the first run? I don't remember if you did or didn't.

Thanks so much for posting this! I just went and ordered. I'd been wanting to get this for quite a while but even when she offered a 30% off coupon, the shipping from Cathe was so high!

...so there are 3 left now!
