Donna-I need to break up my Turbo Jam set. I don't use all of them either.
I've had the Cardio Karate set for ages and haven't tried even one workout yet. I bought it mainly for the Amy Bento/Gay Gaspar workouts when Mary had it on sale. I had a credit card gift card to use so it didn't cost me much, but if it's gathering dust it wasn't worth even what I paid for it. Sherry

i read this thread earlier and wanted to think about it for awhile before responding.
i bought some DVDs at Mary's sale and have some other ones in my cart at Amazon. however, the reality is that i've been spending my workout time running outside. back in the 80s, i only ran for exercise and hadn't discovered videos. my attitude toward my video collection is that they're my old sentimental friends that i can't part with. i'd like to go back to them sometime, but at the moment, i'm preferring to just go running. part of it, i think, is that the house is a mess and running is an escape from it. literally.

I think our needs change, too. For example, I am moving into downloads and apps nowadays. I dislike clutter so this is a great thing. I am even selling Xtrain dvd set so I can get the downloads instead. I also go to the gym or walking outside so I just don't need as many workouts.

Donna, I totally get what you mean. I think I was more consistent when I had less, and I didn't feel I "had" to do certain workouts because they were new and I hadn't tried them yet.

I went on a spending spree early this year but most of my purchases have remained unopened. I'm mostly running, doing TA and Tonique. I don't have the desire to experiment with any of my new purchases because I'm seeing results with this rotation.
I do feel a little overwhelmed with all that I have but I'm not ready to bite the bullet and start purging. I really need to get rid of all my old VHS workouts, but nobody wants them and I would feel awful just throwing them in the trash. Maybe I'll have my DH do it for me! |

I definitely think I did better when I had less to choose from. Now I have so many workouts I have a hard time figuring out that I want to do - it's overwhelming. I am trying to simply right now - in all areas of my life, not just workout DVDs. I am tired of having too much stuff.
And if the house is messy I have a hard time getting motivated to workout. I want to get away from it too. ~Sissy B |
