Have You Ever Slimmed Your Arms Boxing or Kickboxing?

Hi Everyone -

I really need to slim down my arms. Well, I need to slim down more areas than that, but that is really noticeable right now because of the weather....I get really hot wearing sleeves in this weather, so I've been wearing sleeveless tops. I can't stand my fat arms.

With all of the Kundalini arm movements I do and when I walk I take my soft hand weights and do arm movements....but yet, I still need to slim my arms.

I was wondering if I should start adding in boxing and kickboxing? I haven't done it in a while. I used to really enjoy kickboxing and boxing, however, I've really been a cardio hater lately....and have had a hard time doing cardio....maybe I can try to get back into with boxing/kickboxing and try to get back at it!!

Anyway, any other ideas how to slim my arms?

I've never focused on a boxing/kickboxing only rotation, but am currently doing Kelly's Summer 2015 rotation which features a number of punch combos in some of her workouts. It's been a while since I've done much boxing, but I'd also like to slim down certain areas of my body (waistline) and hope this will do the trick. It's definitely good work for the arms/abs but I've only just begun.

Good luck, whatever you decide to do!

I don't hold BF in my arms, but I feel boxing definitely makes and maintain them shapely. I also not into long intense abs/core training. I add-on abs now and then. I feel boxing/kickboxing engage the core and make it works harder. I don't have a bag at my current place. There is one at the gym that I use.

I am like Kelly, my favorite cardio is boxing and step.

KCM says that boxing really slims and tones the arms, but I do not enjoy it so never did it long enough to see if it works on my bat wings.

Do you mean boxing moves where you punch the air, or those where you punch an actual bag?

Both works for me as long I punch with power. Power generated primarily comes through rotation and movement of the hips and shoulders.

Weighted gloves and light weights add intensity as you become stronger.

I hope she's aware, as a fitness expert should be, that you can't spot reduce. Arms are about the last place I lose fat, while my waist is the first, no matter what I do. I got my slimmest arms playing DDR for some reason.

I notice that my shoulders bulk up too much from boxing/kickboxing. I did many boxing/kickboxing workouts for years, and with a heavy bag at the gym. It never slimmed my arms; it just made them bulk out where I didn't want them to bulk out.

Since I switched to daily CS/Essentrics, my arms have never looked this slim and toned. I actually wore a sleeveless shirt last weekend!

Yup!

That's why I pointed out that I don't hold fat in my arms. My upper body stays ripped and veins popping if my BF is on check
