ripping audio from DVD into MP3 file

i was trying to find an old thread that discussed this, but couldn't find it.

has anyone done this lately? i have a laptop with a DVD player built in. i was considering using the software app Audicity which came with my laptop.

i'm open to trying other software too.

You might be able to do it with Freemake.

Yes, Freemake could do it. I tried it for a youtube video. I assume it should work for DVDs since it can rip DVDs too.
