How to quit slouching

A simple adjustment in the way you sit will help a lot:

I think our modern chairs/recliners don't help with this at all.

Like my car seat. It forces me into a slightly rounded shoulder position. I spend 80 mins a day when I go to work in that position. And I wonder why my shoulder hunch forward a little bit.

In the past, sitting in the car caused me quite a lot of pain and using rolled up towels, etc. did not help, but the Backjoy made a huge difference. I even take it with me on long flights and find that it helps with terribly uncomfortable plane seats.

Esther Gokhale's 8 Steps to a Pain Free Back is a good resource as are her videos about stacksitting.

Which one did you buy? My DH needs something for the car.

I got the SitSmart Posture Plus (it's the only one I have seen in the NL).

At home I sit on the floor, sometimes with a half-moon meditation cushion. I tried a meditation bench, but found it to be too hard and did not offer the variety of sitting positions possible with a cushion.
