Tailbone pain (ouch!)

Hey, everyone.

Over the last few months, I have steadily developed terrible tailbone pain when I sit. I work standing up fortunately, but sitting at the dinner table even gets to be too much. The pain has driven me to the point where I have decided to give up teaching spin classes.

I have purchased a foam cushion, which helps. Any other tips out there?

(Honestly, I'd be delighted if there are no fellow sufferers on the board. It's so awful that I wouldn't wish this on anyone.)

I developed this coccyx pain as well when I had to use the gym spinning bike during classes which did not have the gel seat that I have at home. Have you seen a physiotherapist? They may be able to help and once the pain subsides using a cushion seat or even the bike shorts that have a cushion bottom may help if you don't already use this?
