Just as an FYI, you may need to be prepared to argue in order to get BHRT as a treatment specifically for low bone density. In 2017 the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) issued/endorsed new treatment guidelines, and neither estrogen or Raloxifene are recommended by them anymore - they favor bisphosphonates and Prolia instead. My endocrinologist has been applying a little pressure trying to get me to switch over, but I've been able to hold my ground and stay put for now. http://annals.org/aim/fullarticle/26...women-clinical https://www.aafp.org/news/health-of-...steoguide.html |

Vintage VFer, I am so sorry that this has happened to you. It sounds miserable! I hope that everything resolves as quickly as possible, and I have no doubt that your good health will serve you well. Sending good thoughts your way, friend.

I buy estradiol patches at a much cheaper price from inhousepharmacy.vu. Bought from them for many years. No credit cards so I mail a check to their local mail drop in my state where I assume they have a banker. As soon as I place the order online they mail it because I am a known customer. If you are a new customer they will wait until they receive payment. Takes two to three weeks to receive from Vanuatu. I think they take debit and e-checks but it's easier for me to do a personal check. Great prices but not always exactly the brand. I get the Estradot from them. I also buy Careprost from them.
The good thing is if you have any questions, you can talk to a person who speaks English with an Australian accent since the island is near Australia. The only bad thing is they have a lot of earthquakes so I worry they might disappear one day!

Carol, I missed your post. I bought the BoneSnmart DVD. I haven't previewed it yet. Thanks! I have heard that the Aging Strong series of videos from the Bone Smart lady are better than the original Bone Smart DVD, so if that one doesn't suit you, you might try the Aging Strong ones. I did part of Volume 1 last night and found it interesting - she doesn't rep you to death, and uses lots of props to make the workout more interesting than many pilates workouts. Despite being filmed on an all white background (yikes I hate that), I thought it was fine. Carol |
