Hamstring curls

Just wondering if there is an at home alternative to doing hamstring curls. I don’t like the one where you lay on your belly and hold a weight in between the feet and curl up and down. I feel it’s not effective with a light weight and I worry about dropping the weight if I go heavy. Any other alternative? Thanks!

This, and bridge lifts with feet as far away from the body as you can get, or on a wall or chair with angle greater than 90 degrees.

You can also do the prone exercise with ankle weights instead of trying to balance a dumbbell. I agree, I can’t stand any of the exercises where you are supposed to hold a dumbbell with your leg. But most can be done with a resistance band and/or ankle weights with the same effect.

You can use gliding discs instead of a stability ball too.

Totally agree! I've also done them standing with a small stretch loop (like Cathe's old firewalker loops) around my ankles. That method is a little klunky though because sometimes the loop rolls up your leg.

The stability ball roll ins are killer!

All of these suggestions are great! The Nordic Curls are new to me. I'm determined to figure out a way to do these at home without spending money on more equipment.
