Too Early For Fitness Resolutions?

OK...I've had it with me. My fitness resolutions are:

1. To meet my minds vision of what I want my body to be. I workout daily, most of the time, but I am not food-resistant. I need to improve my diet. Sister Mary Discipline is moving in on December 30th. Sunday is always a good day for me to start something new.

2. I WILL learn the four CIA's I have and never done! That's not right!

3. Schedule a complete physical for January and get it out of the way.

4. Replace my "broke down" aerobic shoes - I know better than that...

5. Practice more Yoga so I won't always feel like a tom-boy in a tutu when I do the moves.

6. Particicpate in the "check ins" with everyone else.

7. Ask husband to reconsider and become my personal trainer on the machine. I'm brutally shy and I trust his skill in the gym.

8. Work harder on my Cognative Behaviour Therapy and relaxation skills.

And yours?

I was impressed by your good sense to schedule a complete physical....

that sounds like a very smart thing to add to a list of fitness goals.

thank you for reminding me...

Not too early!!

I am really ripe for this!!!

I have been in an exercise slump due to morning sickness (baby due July 30th).

But......I really want to make a solid fitness plan for after Christmas. I need to start out simple because I really don't feel like exercising.

I know I will need intermediate videos that will take me through to the end of the pregnancy and a solid approach that includes cardio, strength and yoga.

I cannot make the official list of resolutions tonight because I really want to think about it. But..... I just wanted to say.... after too many Christmas cookies already.... it is really time to think about this!!!!

Thanks for suggesting it!!!!

Great idea!

Here's mine:

1) Really commit to a.m. exercising - now I lie there after hitting the snooze and rationalize how I can fit it in some other part of the day - which I usually do, but never "feel" right doing that.

2) Actually do a real strength rotation - I'd like to see some improvement here, so I am going to commit to a 12-week plan (I'm getting the Power Hour/BodyMax/MIS DVD for Christmas, so that'll make this an easier resolution to make!)

3) Eat less sugar - I snack on sweets way too much - need to eat more fruits and veggies.

Good luck everyone!

Let's see...

1. Continue to complete, at least, 2 full body strength
workouts a week.
2. Get more ab work in during the week.
3. Learn to ride my bike better (esp. hills )
4. Do a century ride
5. Run a 5K
6. Do my yoga tapes more & maybe take classes
7. Learn a new sport (thinking of golf)

One main goal...

My main goal is to exercise three times a week for the entire year of 2002. I have gotten sidetracked by pregnancy, moving, stress at work, etc. for the last few years and this is the year to go from beginning to end

Other goals include:

-Continue improving flexibility, balance, and core strength

-Increase intensity of workouts when appropriate

-Continue to post regularly at VF

-Make sure that working out stays FUN!!!

-Maintain a reasonable, balanced diet

Happy Holidays To Everyone!
