Well, I definitely prefer the $30-$40 price range, and boot-cut for sure! NY and Company seems to be only available at Lerner New York (which is available here!)

Wow, TJ Maxx jeans for Eleven bucks! I'm sure there would have been something wrong with them, had I found jeans for that price, but it's worth checking into.

I'm 5'6'', so fairly average height, and more pear-shaped than I care to admit. Slim fit won't do the trick, unfortunately.

I remember buying a pair of stretch jeans (Gloria Vanderbilt) and those suckers stretched to 3x bigger than I wanted them to be! Oh my...

Well, off to see what I can find with my list in hand!

NY&Co an Lerner New York are the same store. They changed their name in my area. I actually got my last 3 pairs of jeans there on sale for $13/pair. It was a 50% off jean sale or something. I just bought a bunch!

I pretty much go between Eddie Bauer jeans (very roomy butts) and GAP (much less roomy butts) depending on what size my butt happens to be. They're not cheap, unfortunately. (The good news is right now I'm in a GAP jeans phase ...)

QVC's line called Denim and Company, and Land's End are my favorites.

Another vote for Lucky Brand jeans. I LOVE their jeans.

Both kids wear 7 for Mankind jeans, and I agree, it's another great pair of jeans, but they are expensive.

Gap jeans

My current favorite jeans are Gap stretch boot cut. I have a pair in ankle length for wearing with flats or sneakers, and a pair in regular length for wearing with heels.

I have a real hourglass figure (my waist is 12-13 inches smaller than my hips) and these are the only jeans I can find that 1) actually fit me - thanks to the stretch, and 2) have a fashionable look without being too low waisted. Fashion, yes. Butt cleavage, no!

LOL. I actually heard a girl on the sidewalk the other day, who was bent over to go through the Free box at Amoeba Records, say to her friend "Jeese, this bites, my ass is SO hanging out of these pants."

So even some of the teenyboppers are getting fed up with it!

Dani: Try TJ Maxx in the juniors department. They have Lucky jeans and tops. The jeans are running at $29.99. I've bought 2 there so far.

No matter who else's I try, I always wear my Lands' End jeans the most. Love the way they fit.
