Cleaning cardio mat

I have a Gxmatt that I use for cardio. I am going to check the company 's website, but I wondered how to clean it. I think it is getting sticky from sweat.

I prefer to clean it indoors and not have to haul it outside.

Thank you!

I have a Gray Matter mat and when it needs a cleaning I wipe it down with a damp wash towel. I have also spayed a little window cleaner/ammonia on it and wiped it off. HTH

Try a mix of vinegar and Tea Tree oil in water - the vinegar is excellent for cleaning and deodorizing, the Tea Tree will disinfect. AND no harsh chemicals! Won't break down the rubber on the mat either.

I use this on my Yoga mat too. Sometimes using Lavender oil instead.
You could use any kind of essential oil. Orange is very invigorating.

I have tons of ideas. ;-)

I use Clorox wipes. I wipe it down right away after my workout. quick and easy. Hasn't affected my mat at all.

I put my yoga mats through the wash occasionally & hang them up to dry.

I wish I could that, but this mat is six feet by five feet.

This reminds me of one time I put mine in the washer and hung it to dry. When I went to my next yoga class, it turned out it wasn't completely dry, although you couldn't see any moisture on it. I was quite the spectacle slipping and sliding all over the place! I finally just rolled up my mat and did the rest of the practice on the bare floor. Now I'm paranoid, and I make sure I let it dry for a few days, LOL.

Yes, lol, I can see that happening as they take a few days to dry completely especially if they are heavier. My jade mat took a while!
