Password burnout!

I am so burned out on having to have so many passwords. It seems like you can hardy do business with anyone anymore without having to have a password. Everyone wants you to have an account. What if it is a site you would never order from again?

Plus, many sites have the Two-Factor codes that they text in order to enter their site.

I do have a password program to manage it all. And, I do understand it is for my protection.

(I suspect this is an age-related annoyance.)

Well, I'm only 40 and it drives me nuts. And I'm helping two teens manage theirs!

After a phone/locked-out situation recently, I went old school and wrote all my passwords in a little flip notebook! Now to make sure I don't misplace that!

DH has a good system: he has the same password for every site but slightly different. So Amazon is passwordamazon and Facebook is passwordfacebook and email is passwordemail. (Obviously, replace "password" with actual password...)

Just add an exclamation point to the end and you have a very strong password there.

Hi, just please note that this is very common for people to do so you may want to be careful using this method. It makes it very easy for someone to obtain all passwords by stealing just one.
If someone gets just one password of his, they know to just switch out the program name and so they will have ALL of his passwords from just one.

My new favorite password is F*ckyoupassword1!

I have actually done this. I was sooooo frustrated trying to make a password that was deemed acceptable by the website that I really did use this as a password. I feel bad about it now.

Along those same lines, my Facebook password is passwordIHATEFACEBOOK

I really do hate Facebook. I use it occasionally for VF Roost, but NEVER used it at all besides that until my mom passed away in October. Then I needed to get on it to notify/communicate with people regarding that. Even for that, it was way too much for me and completely overwhelming. I feel like it's just a huge web where you can't see where every strand reaches.

Well I did something like this too but it wasn't quite that simple. A few weeks ago, one of my email accounts was hacked so I immediately changed all the passwords for the accounts that had that one word/name or variations of it. It was a major hassle and source of stress. I have a password manager app but the passwords for the frequently used accounts such as my regular bank account, email account etc. I had memorized. Now I have to look them up on the password manager because everything is different.
