I had one good thrift store find a few years ago: a Fluidity Bar that I got for $15 because it was half-price day. Maybe I used all my good thrift store mojo up that day.

I did get a nice pair of New Balance running shoes last week for $3. I think that counts...

Hi, Penny! I did the same thing, a few months ago! I guess I love a bargain *too* much.

Isn't it amazing that Fluidity still sells for $399 new? They're turning up at Goodwill for $20, and Craigslist (in 3 areas in the Carolinas) are full of them, at a wide range of prices.

Anyway, recent Goodwill finds for me:
Kathy Smith's Total Body Lift dvd in shrinkwrap, $2.
3 (never opened) Lilias Folan yoga vhs $1
Super Callanetics vhs $1

Also saw several Benson-era Firms (vhs), several prenatal yoga and fitness and several Tae Bo dvds. Also an AeroPilates reformer w/rebounder and dvds for $40 (I think).

Mine runs hot and cold. Penny (hi!) is right, though. You either have to go often, or figure out how to hit it when lots of yard sales are over, like Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Many people who have yard sales just cart all the left overs to the closest thrift store. And you also have to have a lot of patience and the willingness to sort through some real junk!

(Or be crazy enough to consider sorting through junk the same as a "treasure hunt"! )
