Pat I hope so too! In general I've heard that this vaccine has less side effects than Shingrex; I don't know if I'll get Modern or Pfizer.

I took another livestream class at the studio tonight with a different teacher; I was surprised by how similar her teaching is to mine!
I also filmed a new meditation for my YouTube channel.

OMG, I finally got in a workout!

Today's Workout: The Upper Body routine from Jessica Smith's Walk Strong 3.

The workout-space-hogging massage table has left town, but it comes back tomorrow afternoon for two more massages. Have consequently planned a core workout for tomorrow after work which I can do in my bedroom.

My niece is doing well after yesterday's court hearing. She and her ex did today's exchange at a new location which is neutral to both parties, and she reports it went much better than it has recently.

Paine: I may have to learn to fold up that massage table! I've seen her do it so I know it isn't that complicated. Then I can get it out of the way when I need to. I definitely don't want to discourage my niece from making use of that room, but I also want to keep doing regular workouts in there.

Waving to all!

Today’s workouts:
~Taught Essentrics on zoom
~Neighbourhood walk
~20 min rebounding - hooked on an audiobook
~Reclined & seated yoga stretches while listening to my audiobook.....forward bends, deep hip openers, twists, chest openers

Sandra - I’m glad your niece had a smooth exchange with her daughter & ex today. I hope he has learned a lesson from the court appearance.

Waves to everyone!

Nothing yesterday. A hair appointment and I was finger bone tired from trying to catch up on some transcription, a/k/a part of my own job.

I really need to take a cue from Cyana and just GET UP and do some more exercise during the day.

Sandra, yay on your workout. Good news about the amicable transfer.

Beth, I loved the octopus!

Paine, great workout for you.

Sherry, TIFT can be a real interest breaker.

I hope you all have a great day.

Beth, I enjoyed your Shifting Attention Mindfulness Meditation--thank you! I like that it's only 10 minutes so I was easily able to do it. I tend to avoid long meditation practices.
I liked those underwater photos and El Arroyo signs--thanks for sharing.

I'm waving to everyone!

Paine, so glad you liked that meditation! I wasn't sure how good it turned out because I made it up on the fly - I had the idea of shifting attention to feet (which I've done for programs I've done for the college), but the shifting to the plant was something I decided to do while I was in the middle of it.

Rabbit, rabbit! It's March! I am so ready for Spring.

Last Thursday I got my first COVID shot (since my instructor position is considered "town employee"). That night I had some chills and began to feel some pain in my shoulder. The pain intensified the next morning (and I felt a bit sluggish), but gradually my shoulder (and myself as a whole) began to feel like my old self again.

My SO and I are looking for rental apartments, and applied for one yesterday. It's hard to find rentals around here that are pet friendly (he has one cat while I have no pets). He has mentioned the idea of moving to WV, but that is not a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Due to my weird work schedule, the commute back and forth would be miserable. Plus, even when I move out I plan to do certain things for my parents (in particular, grocery shop every week and yes, even Mow Max).

On the workout front, I've been consistent but my motivation has been in the can the past few weeks. So this week I did two things. First, the spin bike I bought last year has been gathering dust the past few months. Although I don't usually stream workouts (and prefer DVDs), I decided to hook up my Roku to the family room TV and signed up for the Peloton app free trial. I've already done two rides, and I am already in love. The music is phenomenal (original songs by the original artists ), and the trainers are professional yet encouraging. Next, on the strength front, I decided it was time to take a trip down memory lane. I pulled the box of Firm BSS workouts out of the closet and plan on revisiting the workouts I remember enjoying the most, mixing them up with KCM.

Here is how my week has gone so far:

Sunday:
Rest day

Monday:
KCM 30 MTF Muscle Up (Workouts 1 and 2...my favorite KCM DVD)
TAUGHT Step class (did a two step vertical routine....fun!)

Tuesday:
TAUGHT TNT class (did lower body w/ glutes emphasis)
Peloton: 45 min Country Ride (trainer: Denis Morton. I have already fallen in love with him. LOL! )

Yesterday:
TAUGHT Strength, Core & More class (did a PHA/KCM Strength & Stamina style workout)
The Firm Cross-Trainers: Firm Cardio (It's been three or four years since I've done it. Still one of my favorites although it wasn't as killer as I remembered it being. Plus, I was thinking of Beth's virtual meeting with Heidi Tanner the entire time I did it.

Back in a minute with personals...

Beth, I think it was good that you left it up to the person to select their own "neutral" area to shift their attention to. Eg: my feet have been feeling weird so that wouldn't be a good choice for a neutral area for me.
