Helen, I would share all those reasons too. Especially with your DH being home after so long away. And you're still getting long walks with Alice and playing with her so you're still getting movement in your day. Ugh on the heat and humidity. I'll keep our negative wind chills over that!

I thought of you the other day when I was dancing while playing tug with Cyric. I can't imagine doing it during an actual workout though!

You don't have to be fast, just keep moving forward.

Finished one pilates challenge and am moving onto another. I got so much out of the first one, I wanted to stick to the same instructor and see if I can make additional 'gains'. Today's glute workout was killer. I took my ankle weights with the side leg lifts and then moved to side lying work. Too much time in the same position for me. Deadbug abs was another killer. I modified at the end - thank you pilates for teaching me progression of moves. The 20 min workouts were really great, I have a feeling I will come back to these. I would also like to repeat the Pilates for Strength challenge - when have I ever said that before?

Next week is Lift with Cee and Courtney Anderson and then I think a week of Vera LaRo. Unless I like Cee and stick with her for the month. They were recommended on other threads and look good. 30ish min workouts.

Buff, that's great that you got so much out of the Pilates challenge! I know I shouldn't ask bc FOMO is the whole reason I already tried to tackle 8 challenges at once but what challenge was it, Balanced to the Core?

Yes. The new Pilates for Strength. But at about 30 min a day I don't think it is a little commitment. There are still 2 other new pilates challenges for me to get to that I will look at next. I'm just so excited that I learned to engage different muscles for some of the basic exercises!

Helen - I would take some of that warmth in a heart beat! I'm not as tough as Vannie and Sandy as far as the snow and cold goes.

Oh, yeah, 10 minutes of Pilates a day would be more my speed! And challenges always take me longer than the 30 days or 21 or whatever they're set up to be. That's so exciting when smthg clicks like that though!

Sunday
32min, Shaun Thompson - Insanity Max:30 - Modifier Track
90min, dog walk

Even the modifier track was hard enough, because it was so FAST!
Switched to following the modifier after the first round, which was supposed to be the warmup. My FitBit said the workout had me at peak heart rate for 75% of the time & the rest was 'cardio'. Feeling very mild DOMS in glutes today from all the squats.

Looking forward to the challenge of February - being back at work and not letting myself totally slide out of the wagon.

Hi, guys. Friday I did day 7 of the Human 2.0 movement and Lauren's squat challenges, Caroline's glute activation workout, a 10 min stepper workout, Aztec Athletics 5 Min upper back band workout and day 5 of Yoga With Bird 30 day challenge. Nothing yesterday or today. The weather has been really nice here this wknd. Our afternoon walk today was perfect at 20 degrees, no wind and partly cloudy.

I'm crazy too - last night, at 6pm, after a 35C day (95F) and 87% humidity did:
41min, Cathe - Step Blast - Combos 1,2,3 Mix, which was plenty, then immediately did a 90min walk with Alice - by then the sun was down but not dark yet (early dusk) and a breeze had sprung up - she positively frolicked!

Today (Tuesday) is the first, so bring on the MONTHIVATION!
