Hmm... it does look good! I think I'll wait for some reviews before ordering.
Good for those guys for turning their lives around!

I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's great they turned their lives around, but I wonder if it glorifies prison. They have a gym in NYC that is decorated to look like a prison. Not my cup of tea personally. The interviewer in this link asked the founder some questions that I also had.

Getting back to the workout, it looks like this is a basic bodyweight workout that is similar to 'bootcamp' style workouts. So I don't think it's anything new and the prison theme is a gimmick that seems to be working among the millennial set. The video at their gym doesn't show anyone who appears to be over 40.

I thought one of the trkainers looked familiar. I remembered the streaming site he started based on prison workouts. I think I'll try this.

Nope. All it says is the workouts are 23 minutes or less.

So....did Rodale just rip off Convict Conditioning or what? Same basic program. (Dragon Door published CC 10 years ago?)

I'm all for body weight stuff, though the theming doesn't appeal to me. I suppose it's to make the buyer feel tough.

Squeee!!!

My credit card is out and I'm ordering now!

I've been following Conbody since they appeared on the Startup podcast. I totally applaud their innovation in taking their experience and turning it into a successful business. I want to support them, AND I love bootcamp style workouts.

I don't think they're ripping off Convict Conditioning at all. I have that set and always think I should use it, but it's an instructional based on progressing on only 5 different exercises - pushups, pullups, backbends, leg lifts and something else that I've forgotten. It's very dry and feels like eating my vegetables.

Conbody are follow-along workouts and look like they'd be a fun sweatfest.

If anything, it's more similar to 22 Hard Corps. But Tony was using the bootcamp approach and the participating service members as a gimmick. AFAIK he never served.

While of course no one supports criminal behavior that leads to incarceration, these guys had the real experience. It's authentic and it's theirs.
