• No exercise can compensate for a poor diet. 😖
• Walking is phenomenally good for me. 😊
• Resistance training is critical. 💯

¹ Walk first
² Weights next
³ Cardio for fun
⁴ Add stretch & balance.

I haven't tried Handbrake yet, but it's on my list of things to do. Thank you for that link.

Streaming never appeals to me, since I don't want to pay twice. I've paid for all my DVDs, why should I have to keep paying for an online service? Yes, I know that they keep coming up with new content, but maybe I can't catch up with all that content? Streaming always seems like yet another way for them to make money from us. I don't have a problem with that per se, but they've already made quite a bit from me, personally, and these days, money isn't exactly falling from trees.

This makes me really appreciate Lee Holden more than ever before, as well as You Tube videos. Honestly, I wish that ALL fitness instructors, would do what Lee Holden does. When you buy one of his DVDs, you get a code that you can redeem. Once you redeem that code, you can access your workout/DVD anywhere and anytime.
I don't need to travel with DVDs.
I don't need to worry about losing them in a hurricane or fire.

MAC info

Handbrake will only rip the files to mp4, or mkv (this retains chaptering), but it won't save a copy of the playable DVD with menus etc. which I prefer.

To save your DVD's - use Roxio Toaster Titanium - older free versions are still around, think mine is version 9 and hit 'save image'. My version of Toaster will not run on my new iMac (Catalina), so my old iMac is also on my desk to continue going through my collection, saving the .iso files. I'm past half way.

You get a better quality save (no glitches) if the computer isn't doing anything else, so the old iMac has just one job - save GOOD copies. I'm past half way through my collection.
